Came In To Existence

     Munnar Police Sub Division came into existence on 20.04.1972 as per GO.MS.No54/72/Home dated 20.04.1972. Former Office was situated 500 metre North from Munnar town and on the side of Munnar-Marayoor road at KDH Village. The Office was functioning in the Blair Gowrie Bungalow beraring No.MGP-XX/49 of M/S Tata Tea Limited and started functioning on 05.06.1972 until 2020. Sri. A.N Sivaraman was the first Deputy Superintendent of Police, Munnar. Now the newly furnishing Munnar Sub division office is situated near by the Munnar Police Station.

Jurisdiction

    The Munnar Police Sub Division have 22 Villages in it's jurisdiction limit. It includes 4 Police station (Formerly 3 Circles)and one Out Post viz Munnar , Maryoor , Devikulam , Santhapara One Traffic Units at Munnar and one Tourism Units at Munnar, and one Out Post at Mankulam.
